One plus 5, Is it a worthy purchase?

One Plus is a Chinese based start-up and producer of smartphones founded in December 2013 with an aim of producing flagship level devices in affordable prices.

As per their claim One Plus launched its first mobile One Plus "One" with flagship level specs in affordable price and it has seen a tremendous  success with its last flagship One Plus 3T.

Now the company has come with another flagship One Plus 5 and this time it has increased its price when compared to previous mobiles. One Plus is about to cost nearly $500 which sums up to 35000.

One Plus 5 Specifications:

• Dual Sim 
• Display: 5.5 inch Amoled panel with 1080 x 1920 resolution (~401 ppi).
• Protection: Corning gorilla glass 5.
• OS: Android 7.1.1 with Oxygen skin on top of it.
• It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset. It is an Octacore processor clocked at 2.45GHz.
• GPU: Adreno 540.
• RAM/ROM: 6GB/64GB or 8GB/128GB.
• Primary Camera consists of Dual 16 MP, f/1.7, EIS (gyro) + 20 MP, f/2.6, phase detection autofocus, 2x optical zoom, Dual-LED flash.
•  Secondary camera consists of16 MP, f/2.0, EIS (gyro), 1.0 µm pixel size, 1080p, Auto HDR.
• Weight: 153g.
• Bluetooth 5.0
• USB: Type-C 2.0 with Dash charging. 

Should you buy it?

One Plus done the same work of providing the flagship level specs now at 70% cost of other premium flagships and this time the One Plus 5 has no major upgrades when compared to One Plus 3T.

It has got an upgrade only in terms of camera with its dual camera just like iPhone 7, but it has no waterproofing or wireless charging.

The camera in One Plus 5 has no OIS, which is minimum for a flagship which costs  $500 and at the same price range LG G6 and LG G6 S is offering greater specs and also includes waterproofing and wireless charging with same dual cameras and display with greater aspect ratio 18.5:9.

To purchase  LG G6 at   ₹ 39,990, and at times during Amazon offers it comes up to  ₹ 31000. So, it would be a better choice than One Plus 5.

So, One Plus 5 is definitely going to be a push by One Plus company. Would you purchase a One Plus 5 please comment down in the box.
