" Computers adapt to Humans " ,The world itself becomes the interface as people exercise more intutive controls .
In 2017 the most world is so hyped with 2 Technologies VR and AR . SO, what exactly are these two technologies and how do they differ form each other is explained in this post .

VR:
VR stands for Virtual Reality and these are seen in the form of Headsets .The greatest Tech companies like Microsoft ,Nintendo ,etc., are working hard to make VR more user friendly.

What exactly is VR?
VR is a computer generated simulation or replacement of ones environment .This possible through headset which plugs out real world into digital world .

VR was first invented by Mort Helig in his device named "Sensorama" in 1962 .It is a revolutionary motion picture system that takes you to other world with 3D, Wide Vision , Motion , Colour , Stereo Sound , Aromas ,Wind ,Vibrations all confined in one machine .

This system has one experience when discovered it has California city where we get the real experience of riding a bike in this city with exact city structure in screen and aromas while travelling . Sure its a great machine but it did not reach average customer .

Later Ivan Sutherland in 1968 discovered first VR Headset which mostly confined to University labs and he also discovered Sketch pad which now we are using as smart pens on touch displays .

In 1987 the term VR was coined by Jaron Lanis and then on lots of research took place on these headsets which we are seeing these days .

The term "Vitual" means "Being something different ,though not in actual or in fact " this was from 15th century definition .

VR these days are used by Gamers , students , real estate agents , in medicine etc., it has came near to the average customer by most gaming companies like Nintendo and Sony.
Even we can watch movies though VR headsets for more superior experience .

AR:
AR means "Augmented Reality " and also called Mixed Reality .
In simple words VR  makes  enhancements to real world with computer generated images usually motion tracked .
If you have used Snapchat lens filters or played pokemon go game we already used primitive AR technology
as they enhance real world with digitally generated images or filters in our smartphones using motion tracking technology.

AR was first introduced by Thomas Caudell in 1990.
The word Augment was taken from Latin word "Augere" means "To increase" .
By using AR we can create floating windows on real world tables and draw on the walls which can be seen through AR glasses and mobiles which makes creativity to another level while building objects ,playing games
The AR is used in Microsoft's Holo Lens Technology and also Google's Tango introduced in Mobiles like Pixel and Lenovo Phab 2 Pro.

The software works by integrating three types of functionality:
Motion-tracking: using visual features of the environment, in combination with accelerometer and gyroscope data, to closely track the device's movements in space
Area learning: storing environment data in a map that can be re-used later, shared with other Tango devices, and enhanced with metadata such as notes, instructions, or points of interest
Depth perception: detecting distances, sizes, and surfaces in the environment

When it comes to choose between these two technologies the answer as always it depends because these are two emerging technologies and had not reached to more consumer perspective but by 2025 if they develop applications based on VR and AR these could really change the traditional way of looking at things into more fun .
