Is it better to put your PC to Shut down or leave it ON all night ?

A big problem in today's daily  life is that to put our laptop or PC to sleep or Hibernate or completely shut down the whole thing .So, this post over here clarifies on whether to put your PC to sleep all night or to shut it down .

There are basically 2 states in our system as you all know
1) ON state
2) OFF state

In the ON state which is basically when our system is normally processing work utilizing memory and doing normal operations .Not at all a headache right.

But when it comes to OFF state we have further divided into 3 more states they are
1) Sleep
2) Hibernate
3) Hiberante & Sleep
4) Shut down

SLEEP :
When we close our system for a short period of time usually used in laptops where we close the lid for a short period of time and resume it when we open the lid .
In sleep mode all the working operations are transferred into RAM memory which is in volatile state and only consumes less power and when we open the lid of laptop our work resumes in seconds as it was stored in RAM.But if poer goes off in between usually in PC's we loose all our work as it is stored in RAM.

HIBERANTION:
When we choose to Hibernate our system all the open applications and running programs are transferred into Boot drive (SSD's) which is a non volatile memory so it does not matter if PC is in ON state or OFF state we can usually resume our work even we resume the PC after 3 to 4 days later and works perfectly and we no need to worry about loss of work as if power goes off suddenly as it is stored in hard drive. And remember if you put your PC to hibernate it makes a chunk of Hard disk reserved for open programs making that space unusable for user .

HIBERNATION & SLEEP:
This is the default setting in our PC's and laptops by Windows
in this case all the open apps and running programs are stored in both Boot drives and RAM so better in each and every case .

Now comes the real question whether to put our PC to Shut down or leave it ON all night ?
The answer like always it depends lot of people say its better to keep system on sleep mode because consistently ON and OFF of PC may ruin its hardware like we may face problems in crash of Hard disks and fan problems .
But a part of it is right as today's computer Hardware is more resilient and it can withstand our numerous efforts to ruin it and also if we are frequent user its better to keep it ON other wise Shut it down as it may save some electricity as well .
